Lexmark has been named one of the 10 best corporate citizens by Corporate Responsibility Magazine.
This is the sixth consecutive year that Lexmark has been included on the publication’s annual list of 100 Best Corporate Citizens. Lexmark’s rank at No. 9 spot is the company’s highest performance.
The annual list by CR Magazine, which calls itself “the leading voice of the corporate responsibility profession,” recognizes the standout performance of public companies across the United States.
The list documents 260 data points of disclosure and performance measurements for all companies on the Russell 1000 stock market index. The data was gleaned from publicly available information, and each company was ranked in seven categories:
- Environment
- Climate change
- Employee relations
- Human rights
- Corporate governance
- Financial performance
- Philanthropy and community support
Lexmark ranked second in two of the categories: environment and human rights. In philanthropy, Lexmark ranked sixth.
Paul Rooke, Lexmark chairman and CEO, said, “This is a fantastic achievement for us, further validating the focus and hard work Lexmarkers around the world place on being good corporate citizens in the communities in which we live and work.”
Lexmark’s rank has risen steadily since 2012:
Year Lexmark’s rank
2016 9
2015 23
2014 35
2013 55
2012 68
2011 60
